Less admin. Workflows that fit your business.

AI consulting, automation and custom software for sole traders and small construction teams. The focus is on your recurring tasks, how information moves through your business and solutions for specific requirements.

Where does work get held up?

Perhaps the same information gets entered twice, documents take too long to find or site updates have to be typed up at the office. We start by understanding the task: what comes in, who uses it and what needs to come out?

Automate recurring work

When information is repeatedly copied, sorted or passed on, the workflow deserves a closer look. We explore which steps could be connected or automated and where human review belongs. Whether your current tools can be connected is assessed for your specific situation.

Develop what is missing

Some tasks do not fit existing software. A custom solution can be designed around your requirements. We clarify the functions, data and connections needed before implementation.

Make the first steps clear

Consulting helps you assess where AI could help and where its limits are. Training supports you and your colleagues in using AI in practice. We agree the content and format around your tasks.

AI, automation or custom software: Which fits your task?

AI consulting and training: You want to work with text, information or ideas using AI and assess the results yourself. We explore suitable uses and practise with your tasks.

Automation: Information is repeatedly transferred from one tool to another. We examine the steps involved, available interfaces and approvals needed.

Custom software: A recurring task lacks a suitable application, such as a calculator or a guided data-entry workflow. Requirements and calculation rules provide the starting point for development.

A workflow can combine these approaches. A defined quantity calculation calls for transparent calculation rules; AI may help organise free-form notes. The task determines the tool.

Example: Turning a customer enquiry into information you can check

An enquiry at a builders’ merchant contains a material description, dimensions and a requested date. Before the enquiry can move forward, the information needs organising and missing details need identifying.

One possible solution: AI proposes a structured summary and flags missing details. Defined calculation rules then handle a quantity calculation. A responsible person checks the information before it becomes a quotation or order.

This is an example of a possible project. We assess what can be implemented with your tools by looking at the actual workflow.

Four settings, a shared focus on the work

These are examples of topics we could discuss, not completed client projects:

  • Trades and contractors: bring together information from enquiries, work notes and orders.
  • Architecture, engineering and design practices: find information in project documents and structure recurring office tasks.
  • Site and construction management: prepare progress updates, notes and documentation for further use.
  • Building materials suppliers: organise recurring customer enquiries and product or order information for further processing.

How we scope your project

You show me the workflow and the tools you use today. We define the task and discuss a possible approach. Before implementation, we agree the scope and criteria for checking the solution.

Common questions

Do we have to replace our current software?

That is not decided at the outset. We assess which existing tools can be used and whether their interfaces support the task.

Do we need AI experience?

You do not need to arrive with a technical solution. Describe the workflow and the result you want; we work through the technical questions together.

What does it cost?

That depends on the task and scope. We agree the work and costs before you commission it.

When does a business need AI, and when is automation enough?

Automation may be enough for fixed rules and recurring data transfers. AI may be useful for organising text or information expressed in different ways. We first examine the task and the checks it requires.

What experience supports the software development work?

Joshua Pichler is a trained bricklayer with a Swiss EFZ qualification and experience in construction and building-materials retail. He has been teaching himself to code and building his own applications for around four years. CalcBud is a public example; staff at a builders’ merchant use it through their intranet.

What should an initial enquiry include?

Describe one specific workflow: What information comes in, which tools do you use and what result do you need? A fictional example is enough to start. Do not include confidential customer or project data or access credentials in the contact form.

Let’s start with one workflow.

Describe what happens today and what you would like to improve.
